Two types of panel membership

The panel has two tiers, reflecting the two stages of estate administration.

Different work requires different qualifications. The platform routes cases accordingly.

Panel tierWho is eligibleWhat it covers
Pre-Grant panel Solicitors, legal practitioners and licensed probate practitioners only Obtaining the Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration. This involves regulated legal work and is restricted to qualified legal professionals. The executor needs a regulated professional to navigate the legal process of obtaining the Grant.
Post-Grant panel Open to all qualified probate practitioners — law firms, accountants, will writers, probate service providers Estate administration after the Grant has been obtained. The Grant is in place; the work is administration, not regulated legal advice. An executor who obtains the Grant themselves but struggles with the administration can also refer into the post-Grant panel.

What arrives with each referral case

The estate file is already built before you claim the case.

You start each case with context, not a blank sheet.

How referral cases reach you

Six steps from executor's request to your dashboard.

  1. Executor requests professional help An executor using the DIY Toolkit reaches a point where they need professional support and requests a referral.
  2. Platform checks Grant status The platform determines whether the Grant has been obtained. Pre-Grant cases go to the solicitors and licensed probate practitioners panel. Post-Grant cases go to the full panel.
  3. Panel members in the region are notified You receive a notification showing: estate region, complexity level, IHT flag, Grant status, and a claim button. No personal data at this stage.
  4. First to claim takes the case The first panel member to claim the case in their Pro dashboard proceeds to the next step.
  5. Executor gives explicit consent You arrange a consultation with the executor. If they decide to proceed, they give explicit consent and the full estate file transfers to your dashboard.
  6. You work the case in Probate Toolkit Pro The per-case Pro fee is charged to the estate. The executor's DIY Toolkit cost is deducted from your bill to them.
