No. The platform is designed for any professional handling probate or estate administration — law firms, accountants, will writers, and probate service providers can all use it. Qualification as a solicitor, legal practitioner or licensed probate practitioner is only required for the pre-Grant referral panel, because obtaining the Grant of Probate is a regulated legal activity.

Yes. It works for straightforward and complex estates, IHT and non-IHT cases, testate and intestate estates. The workflow adapts to the estate type.

Yes. Multiple team members can be added to a case. Access is controlled at case level — each person sees what they need. Team access is included in the per-case fee at no extra charge.

Probate Toolkit Pro is a standalone probate case management tool. It integrates with WillWriter Pro and MyDigiSafe within the Probate Toolkit ecosystem. Integration with other practice management systems can be discussed with our technical team.

£175 + VAT per case, billed monthly. No setup fees, no monthly minimums, no annual commitment. You only pay for the cases you open.

Yes. The cost is recoverable as a disbursement from the estate, in the same way as other professional costs incurred in administering it. We recommend confirming with your professional indemnity insurer if you have not previously charged software costs as disbursements.

No. The per-case fee covers everything — all features, forms, team access, and panel membership. No add-ons, no tiers.

The referral panel connects executors who need professional help with qualified practitioners. Cases arrive with the estate file already built. There are two tiers: the pre-Grant panel (solicitors, legal practitioners and licensed probate practitioners only, for obtaining the Grant) and the post-Grant panel (open to all qualified practitioners, for estate administration).

Only for the pre-Grant panel. Obtaining the Grant of Probate is a regulated legal activity requiring a qualified solicitor or legal executive. Post-Grant estate administration is not regulated in the same way — accountants, will writers, and probate service providers can join the post-Grant panel.

No. Panel membership is included in the standard per-case fee. No separate joining fee.

By geographic region first. Your coverage area is registered on your profile. If no panel member in the region claims within one business day, the case opens nationally.

Panel membership is optional. You can use the platform as a standalone case management tool without joining the panel.

Securely in the UK. We do not transfer data outside the UK or EEA.

Yes. UK GDPR compliant throughout. Executor consent is logged before any data is shared between parties. All access events are recorded.

Yes. Case data and documents can be exported at any point. You are not locked in.
